Mixed Elements is a proud woman-owned small business, founded by Sandy Barone, a veteran hair stylist with over 40 years of experience. We opened in January of 2009 and just celebrated our 15th year in business.

Mixed Elements originally opened in 2007 as an accessory boutique. Sandy is still behind the chair a few days a week, but when she's not doing hair you can catch her tinkering in our boutique. She loves sourcing products from fellow female entrepenurs and small businesses around the USA. Even if you aren't receiving a service, Sandy welcomes you to pop in because "you never know what you might find!"
Info + Policies
We're so glad you've decided to visit Mixed Elements for a service! We recommend making an appointment. Depending on your service and provider, we may be able to see you for a same-day appointment. Just check our online scheduling tab or give our front desk a shout!
To schedule your appointment, a credit card is required at the time of booking. While your card will not be charged at this time, our system holds this information as part of our cancellation policy and only makes necessary charges to you card in the event of a late cancellation or n-show on your appointment. Details of our cancellation policy below.
We ask for your email address at the time of scheduling so we can send the necessary forms to be filled out prior to your appointment. If you do not have an email address, we ask you arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out these forms electronically when you arrive.
We offer email and text message reminder send approximately 48 hours prior to your appointment. Our front desk will also call the day prior (on Saturday for Tuesday appointments). Please make sure your information is current and up-to-date as we are not responsible for missed appointments if you did not receive your reminders.
When running late, please inform the salon as soon as possible. In order to prevent delay of servicing our next client, we may need to reschedule your appointment or alter the services scheduled. Please note: a cancellation fee will apply.
Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without notice, our providers miss the opportunity to fill that appointment. Therefore, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice in the event you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to provide this notice, will result in a charge of 50% of your reserve appointment.
Brial parties and group bookings require a minimum of 72 hours notice of a cancellation or reschedule. A non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of scheduling.
We understand that accidents happen, people get sick and emergencies occur. We will do our best to accomodate these rare occasions with grace. However, we do record these occurances as to prevent ause of the policy. Repetitive violations will result in cancellation fees and/or same day scheduling only.
We accept cash and all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept SpaWeek/Spa Finder gift cards.
Gratuity is always left to the discretion of our clients. A suggested guideline is 15-20% of your service. For your convience, we have partnered with Tippy for ease in leaving gratuity. For a small surcharge, you can you can leave a tip for any of our providers with a valid debit or credit card. Cash is also welcome.

Mixed Elements gift certificates expire 5 years from date of purchase. All gift certificates are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged or transferred.
For your comfort, we offer a selection of beverages and light snacks. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks or snacks for enjoyment during your visit.
The salon is equipped with a Guest Wi-Fi network. We also have a workstation setup in our Chemical Room where you may comfortably plug-in while you process. Please bring earphones if sound is needed as to not disturb others around you.
Our spa is a quiet zone. Please silence your phones during your spa appointments. No guests are permitted in the spa.
For the safety of your child and the enjoyment of others, no children are allowed in service areas unless they are receiving a service. Any minor children receiving services must be accompanied by an adult. In addition, please make sure your child can contribute to our stress-free environment. Children may not be left unattended in the reception area.
Mixed Elements wants to ensure you love our products as much as we do! We accept all unused or used product returns within 7 days for exchange or product credit only. All jewelry and accessories are final sale and not eligible for return.
Mixed Elements guarantees you will love your service. If you are not completely satisfied, please contact us within 7 days for a complimentary correction. No monetary refunds will be given for services.
Diversion is the unauthorized selling of professional products, such as in grocery stores, pharmacies and online re-sale sites. Diverted products are often old, diluted, expired or even counterfeit. They may be harmful to use and can cause irritation or infection.
We guarantee all of our products to be authentic, new and untampered with. Using professional products ensures the integrity of your hair and skin and extends the life of your service. We do not guarantee service results without proper homecare.
By purchasing products from Mixed Elements, you are directly supporting your service provider, both financially and with educational opportnities. Thank you for shopping small!
